Michael Joseph Borengasser, 73, of Conway, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018. He was born on Dec. 16, 1944, in Fort Smith, Ark., to the late Charles and Margaret Borengasser. Michael worked for over 30 years as a hydrologist for Arkansas Natural Resources Commission and was the first State Climatologist for Arkansas. He was a former Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Central Arkansas. Micheal was a promoter of the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS). He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marylynn Borengasser; four sons, Matthew Borengasser (Peng Li), David Borengasser (Tiffany), Stephen Borengasser (Sarah), and Daniel Borengasser (Tomoko); daughter Angela Williams (Bart); two grandchildren, Fraedrich Williams and Olivia Borengasser; and brother, Tom Borengasser. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at St. Joseph Chapel in Conway. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
