WC PEPPER, 71, of North Little Rock passed away on the morning of Jan. 25, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, WC Pepper Sr. and Edith G. Pepper of North Little Rock. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1969. He was stationed in Turkey and Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in February 1969. He enjoyed a long career with the Arkansas Gazette, and truly loved the newspaper business. After their demise, he worked at the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, and other outside sales jobs until the effects of agent orange ended his working career in January, 2010. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and is survived by his wife Debbie Pepper of North Little Rock, his children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. First and foremost, he loved the Lord. He was a brave soldier throughout the past eight years, as he endured constant pain from many health issues. Visitation will be held at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
