STANLEY BRUCE BURTON JR., age 55, of Maumelle, Ark., died on Jan. 26, 2018. He was born in Fayetteville, Ark., on Feb. 26, 1962. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents David P. and Ruth Elaine Burton and maternal grandparents Dr. O.B. McCoy and Ruth Kirby McCoy. Bruce attended Parkview High School in Little Rock and graduated from Germantown High School in Germantown, Tenn., in 1980. He graduated from Rhodes College in 1984, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He was head of computer operations for Plymouth Building products. Bruce loved all types of music and especially loved to play the trumpet. He is survived by his father Bruce Burton Sr., and stepmother Dianne Burton of Memphis, Tenn., mother Mary Frances Burton of Little Rock, Ark., sister Dr. Caroline Burton of Rochester, Minn., step-brother Major Steven Bear (Cher) of Cabot, Ark., and cherished dog pal J.D. Funeral service is Jan. 30, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, (501)791-7400 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Graveside service is at 4 p.m. Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., or the Ozark Humane Society Shelter in Harrison, Ark.
