Richard Reinhard, age 83, passed away in Fayetteville on Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born December 16,1934 to Al and Alice Hoeppner Reinhard in Lincoln, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Phyllis Houghman; and special friends, Harold and Ruth Miller, and Ron Lindblom. He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Kristi Rothmeyer and husband Richard of Texarkana, Texas, Gayle Cook of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother, Merlyn Reinhard of Grove, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jamie Cook, Jeremy Rothmeyer, Matthew Rothmeyer, Haley Rothmeyer; and several great-grandchildren. Richard was blessed to have a career that he loved as a corporate pilot for both World Insurance Company in Omaha, Nebraska, and Tim O'Neill Chevrolet in Council Bluffs, Iowa. His greatest joys were his family, flying, fishing and traveling. His biggest pleasure was taking his family on sightseeing trips throughout the United States. After retiring to Arkansas, he and Betty enjoyed bus tours and the many people they met along the way. He volunteered at the Community United Pantry affiliated with First Presbyterian Church. Richard will be remembered for an easy smile and a twinkle in his eyes. The family thanks the staff at North Hills Life Care who so kindly cared for Richard during his long battle with Alzheimer's. A memorial service and interment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at the Columbarium at First Presbyterian Church in Springdale with Pastor Kade Curry officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, S. Gutensohn Rd., Springdale, Ark. 72762, or the United Christian Pantry in care of the church.
