AVROME DAVID GOLDBERG, 93, of Little Rock, died on June 29th, 2018. "Dave" was born in North Little Rock, March 12th, 1925 to the late Dorothy Berger Goldberg and Louis B. Goldberg. He was also preceded in death by his wife Jean Tarwater Goldberg, and sister Harriet Goldberg Charak. Dave graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1943, was drafted into the Army two weeks after and served in WWII. After his service, he attended the University of Missouri and graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He came home and began his nearly-50-year career in wholesale frozen foods at Vogel's Inc. In retirement, he was an active member and volunteer with Jewish War Veterans Post #436 and AARP Arkansas. He also enjoyed water exercise and the daily Jumble. Dave was a lifelong member of Temple B'nai Israel and Synagogue Agudath Achim in Little Rock. Dad/Dave/Daddy Dave will be remembered by his daughter, Ellen Goldberg (Philip Heikkinen), his son Louis Goldberg (Sharron), his brother Stanley Goldberg, and his sister Faye Goldberg Marks (Jack) of Memphis; and his two grandchildren Emma and Maya Heikkinen. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at Oakland Jewish Cemetery in Little Rock. Memorial donations may be made to the Jewish War Veterans Post #436, 3012 N.
