Rev. James L. Smith, 80, of Conway, Ark., departed this life June 28. He is preceded in death by his parents: Leroy and Mattie Smith, brother William Smith and sister Julia Mae Blanchard. Rev. Smith was the founder and pastor of Restoration House of Parise Ministries, he also pastored White City Memorial, Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Damascus, Ark. He was the lead singer of the great gospel quartet group Spiritual Harmonizers better known as the "Hit Makers" of Little Rock, Arkansas. Rev. Smith leaves to cherish his memory with wife, Rose Smith; children; Gregory Smith, Maxine Smith, Karen Macon, Mary Bell, Shelia E. Vinson and Greg Brockman, siblings: Guy, Willie, Eugene, Sylvester, Geronald, Clifton, Clarence Smith, Queen Jenkins, Tarja Smith, and Lavonne Johnson and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Family Hour: Friday, 5:30-6:30 pm. Funeral Service: Saturday 11:00 am both at New Zion Grove Baptist Church, Pastor Stephen T. Robinson Officiant, with Bishop Kenneth Robinson Sr., eulogist.
