Althea V. Gibson

Althea V. Gibson, 81, of Elgin, Illinois, stepped into her eternal home on July 5, 2018. A native of Marvell, in the Delta of Arkansas, she was an educator for her professional career and also into her retirement. Beloved mother of Raymond (Regina) Gibson, Willard Gibson, Vernon (Sonya) Gibson, Jonathan Gibson and Ardella Gibson, she touched the lives of countless numbers of sons and daughters from her community. Cherished grandmother of two and one pooch she will be missed by many. Services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. as she lays in repose, with the funeral at 11 a.m. at the Salem M.B.
