Hubert Harold Sherrill

Hubert Harold Sherrill, age 88, of Parks, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in his home. He was born May 19, 1930 to George Sherrill and Elsie Sizemore Sherrill. When he was seven years old, his family moved to Dumas, Ark. as farmers; Hubert spent the remainder of his childhood there until he joined the Air Force at the age of 18. He served in the Air Force for nine years and was stationed in Okinawa and Little Rock, AFB. He married Bobbie Jewell Bradley and they had two children, Vicki Sherrill and Bobby Sherrill. He later worked for Arkansas Electric Cooperative and managed two departments until he retired. He remarried Lenore McInnes Sherrill. They were married for 37 years. He was a musician, playing the guitar and banjo and an avid songwriter. He played in several bands and enjoyed music up into his later years of life. Hubert was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife Lenore, his brothers Darrell and Denzil, his sister Helen, and his son, Bobby, along with three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Elsie, his daughter Vicki, his brothers Vester and Bob and his sisters Robbie and Malta.
