Janet M. Boyce

JANET M. BOYCE, 84, of Little Rock, Ark., passed July 5. She was born July 7, 1933, and raised in Kirkwood, Mo. She was a registered nurse for 25 years and worked in a number of hospitals in California and Missouri. Her positions included being a Head Nurse and a Supervisor in the Operating Room. She married Leon Boyce in 1975 in Kansas City, Mo., retired from nursing and moved to Little Rock in 1986. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and participating in the Dance Club. Her creative interests and talents were diverse including painting, designing and reupholstering furniture, refinishing antiques, sewing and publishing a cookbook. Her husband, Leon Boyce, preceded her in death. She is survived by many friends; a brother, Stanley Hootman; a son, Thomas O'Halloran; a daughter, Julie O'Halloran; step-daughters, Gayle Jones and husband, Spencer Jones, Tracy Jones and husband David Jones. Grandchildren are Andrea and Lucas Jones. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, (501) 661-9111.
