Shelby Fay Smith, 7, of White Hall, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2018. She was born on December 3, 2010, to Elbert "Bert" and Victoria Smith. She was an amazing 7 year-old little girl! She enjoyed just about everything including deer hunting and riding in the side by side, board games, sports, music, dance, singing, arts & crafts, animals, etc. Shelby was so full of fun and life, and she tried to be a caretaker to others. She loved to watch cooking shows and dreamed of becoming a chef. She loved to help her Dad and Mom cook. Her last baking project was this past Sunday when she made vanilla and chocolate chip cupcakes. She loved her family deeply, and she and her brother, Kade, had a loving and very close relationship. Shelby attended Oakland Heights Missionary Baptist Church in White Hall. As a preschooler, Shelby attended Terry's Tots and Toddlers Day Care in White Hall, and she had completed the first grade at Sheridan Elementary. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Loma Bensley, Ed and Lyndell Glover, Ralph Smith, Gerald Kirtley, and Kay Kirtley. Survivors include her parents, Bert and Victoria Smith; brother, Kade Smith; grandparents, Jack and Gale (Glover) Jones all of White Hall, Tammy and Allan Peterson of Scotland, Ark., Larry and Marjorie Smith of White Hall, and Bruce Bensley of Atkins; great-grandparents, Harvey Bensley of Scotland, Ark., and Martha Smith of White Hall, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She also had a longtime companion, Princess Bear. Visitation will be Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Cranford's Funeral Home in White Hall. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan. There will be an additional visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church. Interment will be at Ain Cemetery in Grapevine.
