Victor Leonard Barter

VICTOR LEONARD BARTER, 74, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at McClellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born Thursday, April 27, 1944 in Bristol, Conn., to the late Leonard Woodbury and Oressa Mary Fletcher Barter. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 22 years retiring as an E6. Victor was a member of CEMI Christian Fellowship of Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and watching Western movies on television. You could always find him at church on Sunday mornings. Victor will be remembered as a kind and loving man who found his greatest joys in his family and his Lord. Survivors include his wife, Myrna Barter; and several step-children and grandchildren who he loved as his own. Other survivors include cousin, Phyllis MacLachlan; along with a host of friends. Funeral services with military honors will be 4 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2018 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor Jess Murillo officiating.
