Ronald A. Neumeier

Surrounded by his loving family, Ronald A. Neumeier, 82, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Katherine Neumeier; three sons, Chris Neumeier (Aubrey), Bernard Neumeier (Patty), Keith Neumeier (Robin); daughter, Rhonda Neumeier Phillips; his grandkids, Kyle Neumeier (Genevieve), Lori Melliere (Joe), Katie Neumeier, Britain McDonald (Austin), Ashley Teem (Jareb), Sara Neumeier, Sean Phillips, Austen Neumeier, Ryan Phillips, Talor-Grace Neumeier; and his great-grandkids, Leland and Logan Neumeier and Turner McDonald. He is also survived by siblings, Norman, Gregory (Dolores), Don (Delores), Rita Nehus (James), Raymond (Dorothy), and Rosalia Rainwater; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron retired from The Kroger Company after 42 years. He started his career as a sack boy in Paris, Ark., and ended as the Transportation Manager at Kroger's warehouse in North Little Rock. While there he also served as president of Kemba Credit Union. During retirement he enjoyed playing golf, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, his favorite football team, and spending time with his family. He was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in North Little Rock where he served as an usher, lector, president of the school board, CYO Chaperone and Men's Club member. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Regina Neumeier, and by a brother, Bill Neumeier. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, at 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Andy Smith on Tuesday, July 31, at 10 a.m., all being held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2403 McArthur Drive, Jacksonville, Ark. 72076, or to Arkansas Hospice, www.arkansashospice.org. The family also wishes to extend a special thanks to all the staff and caregivers at Spring Creek Nursing Home for their years of dedicated service during Ron's later years.
