Richard John Malatesta

Richard J Malatesta 86 passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Dick was born in Pompton Lakes New Jersey and has one sister Eugenia Schmidt. Dick courageously served in the army as a first lieutenant and later went on to get a degree for engineering. Richard helped in the major engineering construction of the Glen Canyon dam. For the past 13 years Richard and deceased wife Patricia called Bellavista home surrounded by their love for golf and their loving grandchildren Benjamin and Grace. Richard is survived by his sister Eugenia Schmidt, his oldest son Richard Jr., his wife and kids, Sydney, Cici, and Sage; and his youngest son, William, his wife, Elizabeth and two children, Benjamin and Grace. A mass in honor of Dick will be held at the Chaple at Saint Bernards Catholic church in Bellavista on Monday, June 11 at 10 a.m. We will also be having a celebration of life at our home on beaver lake at 15540 Putman Rd., Rogers, Ark. 72756 on Sunday, June 10 at 1 p.m. All friends and family are welcome. In Lieu of donations we are creating a fund to thank the caregivers of Jamestown rehab and the circle of life hospice.
