Kenneth Lee Collins, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2018, at the Central Arkansas Veterans Hospital. He was born in El Centro, California on August 23, 1933, to Mr. & Mrs. Jerome Roscoe (Bertha Mae) Collins. He was raised and did his formative schooling in the Oakland, Calif., area. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1953. He served in the Korean War for 2 years. He returned to California and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1959. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He worked as a probation officer for Los Angeles County on the night shift during his undergraduate studies. He went to University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. He worked hard and finished 3rd in his law school class. He was a successful criminal law attorney in Los Angeles, Calif., for 35 years. He is survived by his son, Dr. Kevin Jerome Collins, daughter, Leslie Collins, beloved grandsons, Maxwell Andrews Collins and Miles Sherman Collins. Other family members and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, all other personnel in the MICU and Palliative Care Unit at the Central Arkansas Veterans Hospital for the exceptional care they provided. Mr. Collins will be laid to rest at the Riverside Veterans Cemetery in Riverside, California. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to, www.ourhouseshelter.org, 302 E.
