Yvonne Hinson Forbes, age 84, of Springdale passed away Friday June 1, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born February 14, 1934 in Magnolia, Arkansas the daughter of Orie "Toad" and Maude Staggs Hinson. She was preceded by her parents, a brother Bobby Hinson Sr. and a granddaughter Shelby Forbes. Yvonne graduated from Magnolia Senior High School and attended Southern State College before marrying E.C. Forbes in 1953. She worked at Southwestern Bell in Magnolia and had her three children there before moving to Lafayette, La. in 1964. Not one to sit idle, Yvonne kept busy raising her kids, crafting, gardening, working as a beautician and educating herself in numerous hobbies that she excelled in until recently. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lafayette. In 1979, she moved back to Magnolia and started her own business, Yvonne's Downtown Bridal, Floral and Gifts. She dressed many a pageant contestant and numerous brides and bridesmaids until she retired and moved to High Point, N.C. Quick to laugh, make friends, and spoil dogs, Yvonne spent her final years at Arkanshire in Springdale, so she could keep her beloved pug Lucy by her side. The family wishes to thank Arkanshire and the NAPS organization, especially Dovie, Vernie, Susie and Stephanie for their personal care and attention given to Yvonne, and to Washington Regional Hospice for the comfort provided in her final days. She is survived by daughter Terri Talbot of Many, Louisiana, daughter Tommi Kent of Lafayette, Louisiana.; son E.C. "Butch" Forbes and his wife Raney of Springdale, Arkansas; eight grandchildren Mark (Carrie), Christopher (Christy), Matthew (Nina) and Anthony (Kylene) Hebert, Elizabeth (Dan) Hingley; Michael (Amy) Martin; Daniel (Melanie) Bourgeois; and Madison Forbes; fifteen great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
