Camellia Christine "Dottie" Brown Margrave, aka Mommo, aka Downtown Dottie Brown, aka Hottie Dottie, aka Dizzie, aka #HottieDizzieDottie, 87, of Little Rock died Monday, June 4, 2018 at Baptist Health LR. Born in Levy, Arkansas on July 18, 1930 to Floyd and Evelyn McCool Brown, she graduated from NLRHS (aka Ole Main) in 1948 and was married to W.A "Buddy" Margrave on Sept. 10, 1952 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, Little Rock. Mommo and Daddo loved their Razorbacks, attending games and tailgates and cheering the buses as they drove down Markham to War Memorial Stadium. "A real Hog ALWAYS roots!". Dottie was involved with both Girl and Boy Scouts. She volunteered at Historic Arkansas Museum and the LR Visitor and Convention Bureau. She was a Lifetime Member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of St. Vincent's. And last, but not least, she was an Arkansas State Fair Blue ribbon award-winning maker of Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls which were featured in Southern Living magazine. Survivors include her "fabulous" children whom she considered her greatest career accomplishments: Debbie Dority (Russ), Jody Barber (Bradley) and Bill Margrave; her grandchildren whom made her SO proud: Cameron Barber, Ross Barber (Lydia), Alli Morris (Jeremy), Brenton Barber and Rachel Childers (Corey); and three beautiful great-grandchildren whom she always said "make me smile": Ellie Barber, Chelsea Collins and Henry Morris; and numerous beloved nieces and nephew, great-nieces and nephews. Dottie was predeceased by her "baboo" Buddy, her parents, her brother, Loyd "Sonny" Brown (Janie) and her sister, Barbara Jean Buck (Harold), and her "son from another mother" Clay Wilson. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favorite grade school library (Dottie's earliest ambition was to be a librarian), Arkansas Hospice or the Humane Society of Pulaski County. A Rosary service will be held at Griffin Leggett Healy & Roth at 5800 W.12th St on Friday, June 8. Visitation starts at 6pm, Rosary at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Lawrence A. Frederick Saturday, June 9 at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Andrew at 7th and Louisiana in Little Rock with graveside services to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cameron Barber, Ross Barber, Brenton Barber, Jeremy Morris, Scott Brown and John Works. The family would like to thank ICU South at Baptist Health LR, CARTI especially Dr. Kamal Patel, Lindsey Molock and Leah King. The family has a special place in their hearts for a very, very, very special doctor, Sayyadul Siddiqui, "Dr. Sid", and nurse Carrie. Dottie and her family also thank and love our precious Dr. Lori Bacon, Brandy Upshaw and Sharon Davis and appreciate all their love, support and invaluable assistance.
