W.A. "Dub" Winston of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 26, 1940 at Sheridan, the son of the late Bennie and Doris Reynolds Winston. "Dub" had a servant's heart, and was an active, lifelong, member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. He was a well known, and well respected member of the community. He had served in the United States Naval Air Reserve, and later, he founded Pulpwood Producers, and owned and operated it for 56 years. In previous years, he had been president of the Sheridan Country Club, president of Sheridan Little League, a member of Arkansas Timber Producers Association, secretary/treasurer for many years in East Saline Hunting Club, a former member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, and he was one of the founding board members of People's Bank in Sheridan. Although he willingly served his community, his greatest joy was making lifelong memories with his family. Mr. Winston died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at his home in Sheridan, at the age of 77. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bennie Jean Smith. Survivors include his wife, and best friend for the last 50 years, Deborah Wilkerson Winston of Sheridan; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Heather Winston of Sheridan; daughter, Andrea Winston Hale of Little Rock; sister, Jo Murry of Sheridan; 3 amazing grandchildren, Jillian, Cooper, and Claire. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Shawn Hill and Bro. Paul Roberts officiating.
