Christine Covington Hairston

Christine Covington Hairston, 83, of Conway, Ark., went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2018. She was born May 10, 1935 in Des Arc, Ark., to the late Marvin and Pat Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents. Christine was a faithful member of Springhill Baptist Church in Springhill, Ark. She retired from Hendrix College and enjoyed playing cards on Mondays with her buddies. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, daughters, Debbie (Allen) Barnett and Christy (Jerry) Clifton, her sister; Leta Garrett, her brother; James (Sandra) Wyatt, her grandchildren; Drew (Jessica) Barnett, Rusty (Crystal) Barnett and Jena (Clint) Reekie, the Father of her children and her friend, Jimmy Covington and her sweet cat, Boots. Christine also is survived by eight great-grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Springhill Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Springhill Baptist Cemetery in Springhill, Ark.
