JACK SIMS, 89, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. He was born in North Little Rock, Ark., to Marion and Carolee Sims. Jack had a thriving Law practice in Little Rock for more than forty years. He was an avid pilot and hunter and loved his bird dog, Buck. He was passionate about the law, education and his dedication to spreading "The Great Commission". He was a devoted Christian and received his Seminary Degree at the age of seventy. Jack honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his most recent wife, Dollie Sims; parents; two sisters; one sister whom he was reunited with as an adult, Avis Wyatt; and his son, Christopher Sims. He is survived by his lovely and dedicated first wife of thirty years and the mother of his seven children, Irene Sims. She was by his side through his last years until his passing; sons, Darrell Sims, Rodney (Kara) Sims, Greg Sims and Dwane Sims; daughters, Dana Rogers and Kelley (Chad) Glenn; and six grandchildren, Drew, Trent, Justin, Christopher, Reed and Cayden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Crosspoint Church Benevolence Fund, 1410 East 30th, Hutchinson, Kan. 67502, or the Union Rescue Mission, 3001 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock, Ark. 72206. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
