Wayne Earl Huff passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with his wife, Deborah Lynn (Pope) Huff, at his side on May 31, 2018, following an 18-month battle with Melanoma. Born on Sept. 26, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky, Wayne was 61 years old at the time of his death. Wayne's truest calling was that of a father. To his adult children, Natalie (33), Nathan (30), and TJ (25), Wayne was a respected mentor and best friend. To his younger children, Emma (13) and Micah (10), he provided the deep and complementary comforts of structure and warmth. Wayne was profoundly, unshakably in love with his wife, Deborah, the mother of Emma and Micah. He fought his cancer fiercely, even in his last days and hours, just to be with her for as long as he possibly could. Deborah was by his side until his last breath and says that, "Wayne passed away without fear and with the tender strength and light of Jesus in his beautiful eyes." Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Melton Huff Jr. and Peggy Earles Huff. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lynn Huff and their two children, Emma Huff and Micah Huff; his three older children and their spouses, Natalie Rae (Blake) Barousse, Nathan (Pamela) Huff, TJ Huff; two grandchildren, his sister and spouse, Robbie Huff (Randy) Ingram. Services will be held on Saturday, June 16, at Rock Hill Farm, 165 Stanford Road, Dellrose, Tenn. 38453. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. with a memorial to follow at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to www.gofundme.com/waynehuffmemorial to help support Deborah, Emma, and Micah as they face medical expenses and funeral costs. Wayne and Deborah were both unable to work during Wayne's lengthy illness.
