David Nolan Parsley

David Nolan Parsley, age 62, of White Hall, died Monday, June 11, 2018. David began working for the Pine Bluff Fire Department in 1975 and retired in 2007, having worked his way up from hoseman to fire chief. He was appointed by the Governor to the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board and a lifetime member of the Mutual Aid Association, a group of volunteer firefighters. He also served on the MECA board. During his tenure, David was responsible for creating the Haz-Mat unit as well as the First Responder/EMS program. Survivors include his wife, Pat Schmid Parsley; daughters, Kate Parsley and Elizabeth Parsley; his mother Arleen Parsley; sisters, Charleen (Dennis) Weathers, Joyce Anne (Jim) Green; brothers Lloyd (Sharron) Parsley, Eddie (Barbie) Parsley; along with many other loving family and friends. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 16, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday, from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel.
