James R. Alexander, 73, of Scott, passed away on June 8, 2018. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Susan Alexander; two first cousins, John Miller of Salisbury, N.C. and Medora Ann Miller of Amarillo, Texas, along with a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Anne Alexander, and his grandfather, J.R. Alexander, who built the beautiful estate of Land's End Plantation. Jim embraced his family history - always recalling great and interesting stories. He attended Sewanee Military Academy, Hall High, Ole Miss and U of A, completing his degree from UALR. He was extremely proud to be a U.S. Marine and, as J.D. Simpson said, "He never left the Marines!" There will be a private burial service at Mt. Holly Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by a public memorial service and reception at All Souls Church in Scott, Ark. at 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
