James W. "jim" Garison

James W. "Jim" Garison, age 85, of Crossett, Ark. joined the Lord on Monday June 11th. He was born April 21, 1933, to Richard G. and Ollie Mae Knowles Garison, and preceded in death by his sister, Mary G. (Les) Miller, brother, Richard G. Jr. (Julia) and a daughter-in-law, Donna L. Garison. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Erma Stephenson Garison. Daughter, Mimi, son, Jamie and wife Brenda, granddaughters, Genny (Gabe) McTigrit, and Sarah (Clay) Hardin. Great-granddaughters, Madelyn McTigrit and Brooklyn Hardin, great-grandson, Thomas Clark Hardin, a brother, John Garison (Kathy) and many wonderful friends. Jim retired after 35 years with Georgia-Pacific, was a 32nd degree Mason and served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church of Crossett. Jim loved to share with others the bounties of his garden, fishing and hunting. Those who knew him could expect a good laugh, given his wonderful since of humor. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be remembered for his loving kindness and generosity. Visitation will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Frazer's Funeral Home in Warren with service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lauren Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warren. Pallbearers are Joe Miller, Mike Miller, Mark Miller, Carl Garison, Gabe McTigrit, Clay Hardin, Keith Sipes. Honorary pallbearers are Lawrence Sipes, Ross Bryan, Jerry Finley, Chuck Clark, Claude Knowles, Baker Coulter, Walter McArthur.
