Ronny Thomas Broadaway

Ronny Thomas Broadaway, 80, of Bryant, went to his reward in Heaven June 13, 2018. He was born May 19, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ruth and Marvin Broadaway. Ron went to work for Western Union Telegraph after graduating from Newport High School in 1956, and in 1976 started his own business. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Bryant. Ron loved aviation and spent many happy hours with friends in his beloved Cessna 172. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dale Smith Broadaway; son, Ronny Thomas Broadaway Jr. (Lori); daughter, Lisa Broadaway Groves (Doug); five grandchildren, Josh (Kristina), Tyler (Kaitlyn), and Ashley Groves, Jason and Duncan Broadaway; two sisters, Peggy Stephens, and Patsy McMurtry; brother-in–law, Rudy Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 9–10 a.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home. Followed by services at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport, Ark.
