Judy Mae Tyson

Judy Mae Burton Tyson was born April 25, 1952, to Lige and Fanny Burton in Jay, Oklahoma. She fought a long and very courageous fight with cancer. We are all very blessed to have had her in our lives. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, gardening and traveling with her husband, Arthur F. Tyson. She is proceeded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Violet Burton, Wavis Doan, and Betty Burton Cox. Judy is survived by her husband, Arthur Tyson: her sister, Melissa Louise Robinson; her brother, Sonny Burton; her four children, Jeannie Wood and husband Michael of Atlanta, Texas, Nancy Volkamer and husband Bret of Fayetteville, Angie Beeks and husband Mike of Prairie Grove, and Travis Johnson of Farmington; her 10 grandchildren, Shelby Lester, Brooke Parrish, Travis Dobbs, Nathan Heinerman, Matthew Heinerman, Summer Sharp, Xoicha and Ava Johnson, and Kaleb and Lacy Beeks; her adoring great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Vickie Gayer and husband Brian of Wheeler; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the home of Nancy and Bret Volkamer.
