Jacquelyn Louise Ellis Johnson

Jacquelyn Louise Ellis Johnson was born March 12, 1955, to the late Robert Ellis Sr. and Claudia N. Ellis in North Little Rock, Ark. Jackie departed from her earthly home to her heavenly home Monday, June 18, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert & Claudia Ellis Sr.; her brother, Robert Ellis Jr.; and her nephew, Kreth Ellis. Jackie attended North Little Rock Public Schools and was a graduate of Northeast High School, class of 1973. She furthered her education at Pasadena City College and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was a graduate of Philander Smith College with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Jackie fell in love and married Dwight Johnson January 22, 1983. To this union a set of twin boys were born – Brian and Brandon Johnson. Jackie accepted Christ at an early age and united her membership with Bethel A.M.E Church, North Little Rock, Ark. After moving to California, she became an affiliate member with the First A.M.E Church in Pasadena, Calif., and later an affiliate member at St. Paul A.M.E Church in Berkeley, Calif. Upon coming back home to North Little Rock, Jackie returned to Bethel A.M.E.Church in North Little Rock. She was an active saint for Christ. She was appointed to the Steward Board; she was a member of the Women's Missionary Society, HC Guy Lay Organization, an usher, and a weekly church office volunteer. Jackie was employed at L'Oreal Maybelline for twenty years. She retired from Safeway of Richmond, Calif. in 2014. Jackie leaves to cherish in memory, two sons; Brian Johnson and Brandon(Ayana)Johnson; four siblings, Herman(Kimberly)Ellis, Joan Ellis, Darwin(Angela)Ellis, and Derwin Ellis; an aunt, Julia Ellis; and six grandchildren, Khloe, Bria, Khylie, Harper, Hayden, and Aubrey Johnson. Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, Bethel A.M.E. Church, 600 Cedar, North Little Rock. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church.
