VIRGINIA LAMOYNE BARRICK MOUDY died June 20, 2018 peacefully in her sleep in Little Rock. She was 90 years old last March. Lamoyne and her husband Paul were married 59 years and lived in Ola 50 of those years where Paul taught school and she worked as a clerk at Cobb Drug Store for 42 years. Lamoyne was active in her church, her community and the Eastern Star. She will always be remembered for the beautiful pink roses she grew, her loving smile, knowing a good joke to tell, and the kindness she showed to every man, woman, child and animal God placed on this earth. Her grandsons will long remember her great "bedtime" stories, the Batman and Shazam costumes she made for them, and what a good shot she was as they walked along the railroad tracks and shot crows with a bee bee gun. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Linda Moudy; her daughter and son-in-law Kaye and Loyd Stanley; two grandsons, Chris Moudy and Philip King; a great-grandson, Gabriel King; sister, Pauline Harris; a sister-in-law, Melbarene Barrick; sixteen nieces and nephews; numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and a very loving extended Moudy family. A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Danville. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. before the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Russell Cemetery in Belleville. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial to the Arkansas Alzheimer's Association in her name.
