Wanda Steele

Wanda Lee Steele, age 82, of Benton, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born in Paris, Texas on September 25, 1935; where as a child she learned to make Hot Tamale's beside her grandfather. Wanda was known as Moo by all her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face, loved people and her dog, Molly. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lucille Rivers, husband, Samuel E. Steele and two sisters. She is survived by three children, Debbie Clement, Ronnie Steele (Tammy) and Vickie Barnard (Arthur); five grandchildren, Leslie Maroney (Mickey), Lacey Cunningham, Ashley Dyer (Dustin), Justin Steele and Kelly Wright (Blake) and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mickey Maroney, Austin Maroney, Parker Maroney, Justin Steele, Blake Wright and Doug Kindy. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 at Ashby Funeral Home.
