Doris Madeline Phillips Connell

Our beloved Mother, Doris Madeline Phillips Connell of Benton, passed from this life to the next on March 1, 2018 at 93 years of age. Born December 17, 1924, she is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and husband, June D. Connell whom she married on August 10, 1942. Survivors include her sons, George David Connell and Forrest of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Michael Dennis Connell and Marlanna of Benton, Ark.; Barry Dale Connell and Pam of Concho, Ariz.; Bradley Dean Connell and Kaylynn of Brixey, Mo.; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a successful career at the Teletype Corporation in Little Rock and retired after twenty years. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family throught her life and in her later years, enjoyed dancing and participating in programs and activities at the Benton Senior Citizens Center. Her smile and quick wit will be missed, but we know we will see her soon. A time of visitation will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (315-4047) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
