Lucille Bratcher

Lucille Van Dover Bratcher, 100, died in Little Rock on March 7, 2018. She was born in Gurdon, Ark. to Wesley Taz and Era (Shackelford) Tillman. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and received her Masters from UALR. Preceded in death by her husbands, Aubrey Van Dover and Boysen Bratcher, she is survived by her children, Jim and Sylvia Van Dover of Little Rock, Suzy and Jim Keasler of Marianna, and Drew and Leigh Bunten of Benton. She was a loving Gigi to her grandchildren; Jay and Tracy Van Dover, Mallory and Brian Cato, Kathryn and Mike Cloutier, Whit Keasler, Jas and Amanda Keel, Laura and Farris Jackson, Sarah Bunten and 14 great-grandchildren. A longtime educator in the Little Rock, North Little Rock, Marianna, and Booneville schools, Mrs. Bratcher established lasting friendships with many of her former students. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock by Rev. Lynn Kilbourne at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be at Marianna Memorial Park at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting that memorials may be made to Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids (PARK) 6915 Geyer Springs LR, First Methodist Church of NLR 6701 JFK, NLR, or the Community Foundation of Lee County 130 Robertson Ave., Marianna, Ark.
