Ritta Holiman

Ritta Tate Holiman, 77, of Sheridan, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Little Rock. She was born June 17, 1940 in Horatio, Arkansas, daughter of Jake D. and Essie Pettigrew Tate. Ritta was reared and received her early education in Lake Village, graduating from Lakeside High School in Lake Village. She was an active member of New Harvest Church of God in White Hall. Mrs. Holiman was also a devoted wife and mother. Ritta was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jolyna Weaver; and five brothers, Floy, Robert, William "Troy" and Jessie Tate and Lee Hilton. Survivors include her loving husband, James Holiman, whom he married November 29, 1964 in Lake Village; daughter, Becky Lyons of Sherwood; son, Brian Holiman of Sheridan; brother, Carl Tate of Damascus; two grandchildren, Emerald Yerton and Ryan Weaver and one great-grandchild, Aria Yerton. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at New Harvest Church of God with Reverend Travis Creekmore officiating. Interment will follow in Reaves Cemetery near Warren by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson's.
