Robert "Bob" Frazier, age 84 of Magnet Cove, died on Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab. He was born on September 9, 1933 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late Allie W. Frazier and Ann Perkey Frazier. Reared and receiving his early education in Clover Bend (Lawrence County, Arkansas) he attended ASU in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and graduated with a Jurist Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Bob also graduated from Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, where he taught for 25 years. He was a 50+ member of the Arkansas Bar. Bob had served as both deputy prosecutor and in the Public Defender's Office. Bob had served as District Court Judge, and as judge for the towns of Friendship and Rockport. He pastored missionary Baptist churches for a number of years, including Damascus MBC and Midway MBC. Bob was a member of Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and filled the pulpit on occasion. He was an avid genealogist, and loved to walk through the woods with his gun and his dog. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lamb Frazier, to whom he was married on August 17, 1969 at the Leola Missionary Baptist Church; by his children, Melanie Rock of Malvern, Courtney Frazier-Jones and her husband, Chris, of Little Rock, Robert Ashley Frazier and his wife, Kimberly of Rogers, Arkansas, and William Duran Frazier and his wife Hannah of Conway; and by six grandchildren, Ben and Layla Rock, Nora and Samuel Jones, and Sydney and Henry Frazier. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2018 at Magnet Cove Cemetery with Brother Shaun Holland officiating. Memorials may take the form of donations to the Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church Library, or to Heifer Project International. Online condolences may be sent via jafunkfuneralhome.com.
