Betty Thornton

BETTY THORNTON, 66, of Little Rock slept peacefully into eternity at home with her husband at her side Tuesday, March 6, 2018. She was a longtime member of Greater Archview Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Betty had been a homemaker where the joys of her life were her husband and children. She is preceded in death by one daughter and her parents. Left with cherished memories of her are her loving and devoted husband, Thomas "Tom" Thornton; sons, T. Derek Thornton and Theotis Thornton, Sr.; daughters, Shara and LeKeisha Thornton; 4 grandchildren, Theotis Jr., Tierney, and Taylor Thornton, and Aaron Rundles; siblings, Faymon Coffie, Lee Duckworth (Charlene), and Joseph Duckworth, Jr. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Greater Archview, 1720 West 23rd Street, Little Rock. She will be laid to rest at noon at LR National Cemetery on Springer Boulevard in Little Rock. Arrangements entrusted to Walton GateWay Funeral Chapel, Inc., "Your Entrance to Eternity", 2405 S. Gaines Street. There is no family hour but open visitation will be Monday, March 12, from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at the funeral home, 376-7188.
