Carl "Pack" Paskel Nelson Jr.

Carl "Pack" Paskel Nelson, Jr, 87, of Elkins passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born September 20, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Carl and Dora Ballard Nelson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Nelson and a brother, Jerry Nelson. He was a distinguished Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Carl is survived by a son, Carl Nelson III and wife, Crystalee of Elkins; a brother, William Nelson of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; and two grandsons, Joshua and Robert Junior. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Beard's Chapel. Interment will follow in the Round Mountain Cemetery. There is no scheduled visitation.
