Louise Lovell Smith, 84, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away March 9, 2018. She was born in Deberrie, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Reverend Leonard and Ollie Lovell. She was salutatorian at her high school graduation and became engaged to her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Smith. They married after he graduated from college and started a life of adventure, moving around the country for his naval career. She was a devoted mother and proud Navy wife. An accomplished couture seamstress, she also loved art and books and flower arranging. She had a beautiful soprano voice and sang in many church choirs, loving the old hymns as well as classical oratorios. She was preceded in death by her parents; an older sister, Wynemma Lee Lovell who died in childhood, and a brother Euell "Sonny" Lovell. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Frank Smith of Conway, Arkansas and three children, Allison Smith Baker (Don) of Conway, Ark.; Brian Smith (Cindy) of Cottonwood, Calif.; and Charlotte Smith Eubank (Daniel) of Poplar Bluff, Mo., along with three grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Hannah Smith, and Emma Eubank. She also leaves behind a sister, Tommie George of Adona, Ark. and a brother, Leonard "Buddy" Lovell Jr. (Barbara), of Perryville, AR as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks is given to Freeman Family Medicine and the staff at Stonebridge Village of Conway. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2018, from 12-2 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Conway Funeral Home Chapel, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, Ark. followed by a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway, Ark.
