Lois Snyder Henry of Little Rock, Arkansas, died March 13, 2018 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born November 13, 1925 in Phillips county, Arkansas. Lois was preceded in death by parents Wylie Ferman Snyder and Maudie Caviness Snyder. Also preceded in death by brothers Wiley Mack Snyder and Billy Wayne Snyder. She is survived by sisters, Bettie Steiger of Lewisville, Texas, and Dollie McCorkle of Little Rock, and brother, Danny (Sandra) Snyder of Hot Springs Village She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. After graduating from Marvell High School she was employed by the Department of Defense in Pensacola, Fla. During WWII. The family moved to Little Rock just before the war ended, where Lois resided until February, 2016. Her last two years were spent at Mt. Carmel Assisted Living in Hot Springs Village, and Belvedere Nursing and Rehab in Hot Springs. Lois was employed by Federal Housing (HUD) for more than forty years. She will be remembered as a hard worker that always excelled in doing the job to perfection. Lois was a person who was adept at earning a living for herself, helping to rear younger family members, and consistently making herself available for every sort of family need; including comfort, advice, fmancial support, and just unfailing love given freely. For many years Lois was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock. After moving to the Pulaski Heights area Lois joined the Pulaski Heights Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death. "I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards". Philippians 3:14. Services at Pinecrest Memorial Park's Chapel will be Saturday, March 17, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery following service.
