Carroll Loyd Tucker, 88, retired Sgt. Major, U.S. Army Reserve, was born on October 11, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clyde and Lillie Morris Tucker. He died on March 20, 2018 surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Ed and Bill Tucker. Survivors include wife, of 64 years, June Lambert Tucker, sons, Donald B. Tucker (Mary), R. Dean Tucker (Caryn Cosper), a special daughter, Janis Jones Tucker, four grandchildren, Whitney Lunsford (Kyle), Holly Aldridge (Alan), Matt Tucker, Courtney James (Jacob), 10 loved great-grandchildren, Will and Kate Lunsford, Chapman and Caleb Redam, Collyn, Aiden, and Ace Aldridge, Griffin, Carter, and Macy James. He attended Mabelvale High School and Little Rock University. Carroll served 41 years in the U.S. Army Reserve where he had active duty during the Korean War. He was in charge of the Fifth USAR Rifle Team. Meeting much success, during the 1975 Bi-Centennial, he served nationwide as an Honor Color Guard. He was with Union National Bank for 25 years in the loan department. Carroll also partnered with his brother, Ed Tucker in Century 21 Pro Realty Company. Carroll was an avid sports enthusiast, playing baseball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and old mans softball. Carroll won the State Championship of AAU Basketball in 1949. He served as an usher at War Memorial Stadium during all Razorback games for over fifty years. Carroll and June traveled by RV all through the U.S. and Canada, having many happy adventures.
