Geneva Gardner Bevans, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center in Little Rock. She was born on November 1, 1923 to Delphia and Robert Riley Gardner in Garvin Pauls Valley, Oklahoma as one of nine children. She was very proud of her family and leaves behind her son, James Shipman; grandchildren, Kimberly Polk and Robbie Shipman; son-in-law, Jason Polk and great-grandchildren, Anna Elise Polk, Joseph Riley Polk and Andrew James Polk; sister, Lu Tatera; brother-in-law, Jack Tatera; sister, Geraldine Wood; nieces, Brenda Pheobus, Shelia Taylor, Kim Bonner; nephew, Greg Tatera and many others. Geneva was a resident of Maumelle, a very accomplished business woman and the owner of Lake Liquor, Inc. since 1966. She loved to laugh, enjoyed talking to friends and family on the telephone and working in her gardens. As we celebrate her life she reunites with her late husband Ray Bevans, parents, brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation of your choice. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home.
