Charlene "Char" De Pontee

Charlene "Char" De Pontee, 92 of Rogers, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 peacefully at her lake home with her family by her side. She was born June 29, 1925 to the late Charles T. and Frances E. (Poffinbarger) Dolloff in El Dorado, Kan., where she spent her early childhood before the family moved to Los Angeles, Calif. Char worked for Autonetics in Downey, Calif., for several years which is where she met the love of her life Ace De Pontee. Char and Ace began their 61-year marriage in 1956, and moved to Anaheim , Calif., where they raised their family. In 1987 Char and her husband Ace retired, and moved from Calif., to Rogers, Ark., where they built their home on Beaver Lake. Char enjoyed many years of gardening and life in the Ozarks. Char is preceded in death by both parents, 2-sisters Dolores and Patsy, and her husband Ace. Survivors include her younger sister Sarah; a daughter Patricia; 3-sons Raymond, William, and Frederick; 7-grandchildren; 11-great grandchildren; extended family members and dear friends.
