Derek Dean Jackson

Derek Dean Jackson, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1930 in Westmoreland, Kan. to Kathryn Rumold and Arthur Amos Jackson. Derek served in the United States Air Force, having been a pilot during the Korean War. He and his wife Ernestine moved from Shawnee, KS to Bella Vista, Ark. in 1992. Derek was a member of both the Bella Vista American Legion and the 9 Hole Golfer's Club. Derek was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife; two sons, Brad Jackson, Art Jackson (Kelly); daughter Eileen Moore (Ron); two sisters, Virginia Rezac (Bob), Nancy Hines; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. Inurnment will be at a later date at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens Cemetery, Shawnee, Kan. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
