Geneva White Stephens, 83, of Conway, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, in Little Rock. She was born June 11, 1934, in Conway, the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude White. She graduated from Conway High School in 1952 and married her high school sweetheart, the late Bill Stephens, on Oct. 4, 1952. They were married 63 years when he died in 2016. After her children were born, she returned to what is now the University of Central Arkansas where she earned her education degree. She had a long career teaching special education in the Conway Public Schools. Survivors are her children, Mark Stephens and his wife, Lisa; Sonya Stephens and Stephanie Stephens, all of Conway. They were her world, and she was theirs. She dearly loved her granddaughters, Rebecca Tuite and her husband, Jeff, of Manahawkin, NJ.; Kristen Baldwin and her husband, Tommy, of Goodyear, AZ.; and Kelli Vasquez and her husband, Chris, of Conway, and her great-grandchildren, Joey and Rosalie Baldwin, Annika Ngo and Calvin and Vada Vasquez; her loving brothers, Joe White and his wife, Edna, of Neosho, MO.; Dan White and his wife, Sue, of Conway; and Jimmy White and his wife, Margaret, of Little Rock; brother-in-law Ken Stephens and his wife, Donna, of Conway; and sister-in-law, Edna Earl Williams of Springdale; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lee Edward White and Bill White, and her sister, Naomi Starkey, all of Conway. Services, under the direction of her nephew, the Rev. Larry White, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with visitation Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway. Pallbearers will include Don McBride, David White, Christopher Vasquez, Earl Eichenberger, Glenn Stacks, Gary Starkey and Rance Bryant.
