William Franklin Clements Jr., 94, of Little Rock passed away April 28, 2018. Born in Little Rock to the late William F. Clements and Mary Ellen (Mayme) McMillan Clements on October 30, 1923. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol Clements married for 46 years, Carolyn Anderson, companion of 24 years, and brother, Drew Clements and sister-in-law, Pat Clements. Left to cherish his memory are children, (Bill) William Franklin Clements, III (Virginia) of Conway, Walter of Little Rock, and Robert (Shirley) of Cabot; brother, George Clements of Florida, sister-in-law Donna Clements of Sherwood, along with eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Bill enlisted in the Army Air Force in December 1942, trained to be a Bombardier pilot from 1943 to 1945 during WWII. He finished his career in the Army as a Second Lieutenant. After the war, he served three years as an apprentice for his father-in-law in the ceramic tile and marble business. He later returned to Little Rock where he started his own business, The William F. Clements Tile and Marble Co. which he operated for 44 years. Bill was also, an avid hunter and fisher. In 1964 he won the "National Wild Turkey ‘Calling' Championship." One of Bill's greatest passions was turkey hunting. In his den is displayed 78 turkey beards, turkey mounts, bows and other pieces of his collection. A wonderful display of Bowhunting in Arkansas, to share with others. The family wishes to give a very special thanks to the staff at Heritage Center in Conway and in L.R. Cassie's team of Caregivers – Mary, Markeesha, Anna, Sherry, Noela, and Richa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made Arkansas Bowhunters Association Memorial Scholarship Fund. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W 12th St., Little Rock. A Service honoring his life will be held at the same location 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, Burial will follow at Mount Holly Cemetery, 1200 S. Broadway, Little Rock.
