Dennis Gregory Berry, 70, passed away on May 2, 2018 in Benton, Ark. Dennis was born in Petersburg, Va. on October 5, 1947 to the late Branch & Margaret Berry. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kim, his son, Hunter (Gabie), daughters, Kari Lazenby (Blake), Katelyn Cameron (Joe), C.J. Cooley (Pat); rambunctious grandchildren, Nyah Cooley, Laila & Gunner McCowen, Brynn & Reese Cameron, Whitten Lazenby, brother, Robert Berry (Donna), mother-in-law, Crystal Swindell, brother-in-law, Russell Swindell (Debra); and several nieces and nephews. Dennis graduated from Little Rock University (UALR) in 1970. He taught high school history in the Pulaski County School District, retired from J.C. Penney and later retired from Flake Kelley Commercial. Dennis was a baseball historian, AVID Boston Red Sox fan, talented marksman and firearm enthusiast. He was uber-intelligent, funny, opinionated, conservative and fiercely dedicated to Kim and his family. Dennis is loved and already missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Saline County.
