Amos "AL" Leon Goddard, 90, of Beebe, Ark., passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born Dec. 31, 1927 in Vienna, Illinois to Amos and Mable (Russell) Goddard. Amos was a retired U.S. Navy Seabee. He was a "simple man" who enjoyed time at home and taking care of his family. He loved dancing, miniature horses, gardening, and flowers. Amos is survived by his son, Chad Goddard and wife Melissa of Beebe; daughter Pamela Maner and husband Rodney of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Jerilynn Upton of Oxnard, Calif., Chrystal Dollarhide of Tulsa, Okla., and Ashlynn Goddard; two grandsons, Justin Voyles and Dillion Goddard and brother Everett Goddard and wife Judy of Ava, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Diane Bond and a brother Alvin Goddard. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of AL to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901. Family and friends will gather at the Smith – Westbrook Funeral Home at 1 p.m. and travel in procession with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association to the Graveside Service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Antioch Cemetery.
