Anita Davis, age 62, of Springdale, Arkansas passed on May 5, 2018 supported by family and friends. She was born in Englewood, New Jersey on January 13, 1956. Growing up on Porter Street in Springdale, she loved working in her Grandmother's Dairy Queen on Emma. Upon graduation in 1974 from Springdale High School, she attended Bauder Fashion College in Texas and later the UofA. She was the Office Manager for the Law Firm of Davis and Associates for over 25 years. She founded Epi-Center Realty in 2004 where she was broker/owner. Anita had a zest for life that was contagious. She was quick-witted, an entertaining story-teller, a willing mentor, passionate about causes she believed in, a fierce and loyal friend, as well as a generous, strong and courageous woman. She loved dancing, boating on Beaver Lake, travelling near and far, being with friends, and even raising chickens. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening with her father. Anita's unpretentious, energetic and free spirited demeanor won her lifelong and dedicated friends that knew no socio-economic boundaries. Her love for animals compelled her to lend her time and energy to For Pet's Sake. Likewise, her compassion for people led her to volunteer with Circle of Life Hospice. And, her strong belief in empowering women found her an avid supporter of Planned Parenthood. Informally, she was always willing to lend an ear or a hand to anyone who reached out to her in need of just about anything. Anita was preceded in death by her devoted and much loved mother, Betty Lane Davis. She is survived by her father, Charles E. Davis of the home and her sister, Lane Davis of Dallas. Anita will be deeply missed, but utterly impossible to forget. She left a lasting and indelible impression on all she met. According to Anita's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, we'll be celebrating Anita's life on Friday, May 18, 2018 beginning at 6pm at the Elks Lodge in Fayetteville. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
