Mrs. Naomi Jean Ross, 80, of Little Rock, Arkansas, received her wings on Saturday, May 5, at St. Vincent Infirmary. Mrs. Ross was born in Tillar, Arkansas on April 10, 1938 to Rev. and Mrs. Roosevelt Davis Sr. She was a retiree from the State of Arkansas as a Document Examiner and was very faithful to her home church, St. Andrew A.M.E. Church where she served as Head Usher, Missionary Society, Lay Organization and wherever she was needed. Mrs. Ross loved her family and her church. She was an advocate for uniting the family and attending family reunions. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Roosevelt Davis Sr. and Mary Ireland Lowe in August, 2016, as well as her brother, Roosevelt Davis Jr. in September, 2016 and Mildred Davis Williams in November, 2014. She leaves to celebrate her life, a daughter, Venita Ross Franklin, a granddaughter, ShaLonda Rhoden-Gray, six grandchildren, Zavier, Christen, Marico, Kezziah, Kennedy and Charlie-Anne, along with her brother in law, James Henry Williams Sr., 14 other siblings and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be at Watson Northcrest Funeral Home, 1801 N. Maple, North Little Rock, Friday, May 11, from 7-8 p.m. Homegoing service will be held at St. Andrew A.M.E. Church, 3003 Bishop Street, Little Rock, Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas. 501-812-5303.
