Orley Olan Feagins of Little Rock, Arkansas died at his home surrounded by family on May 6, 2018. He was born August 8, 1935 to the late Elmer E. Feagins and Lillie L. (Underwood). Orley is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rhoda Ann Post Feagins; his youngest daughter, Kimborley Feagins Burton; four grandchildren, Todd Nespor, Kayleigh Burton Hunter (Cody), Trey Burton and Alex Burton; three great-grandchildren, Isaac and Isaiah Nespor, and Lily Hunter; sister, Cleta Feagins Ware (J.V.) of Portland, Oregon and a special sister-in-law, Bettye Post Hosto of Little Rock along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Orley was preceded in death by daughters, Debra (55) and Dana (17); brothers, Robert and Donald Feagins, and sister, Janelle Beigley. Orley fell in love with music at an early age. He played steel guitar and sang in several country music bands for the majority of his life. When his daughters were young, he enjoyed coaching softball and considered all their teammates "his girls". Orley taught printing at McClellan High School and Metropolitan Vocational High School for a number of years before running a print shop with his wife and daughters, Feagins Printing. Later, while working as the Wal-Mart door greeter, he not only had the opportunity to use his gift of gab to visit with old friends, but he also met a new and very special "friend till the end", Bart Moreland. Orley is a member of Martindale Baptist Church who has provided endless love and support. Mrs. Virgie Horn and Louise Harris, we love you and thank you so much for being with us. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at CARTI Cancer Center and the teams of AR Hospice. Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller Chenal Funeral Home. Funeral services officiated by Reverend Jay Weaver and Reverend Bill Harris will also be at Roller-Chenal, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery in Saline County, where Orley will be laid to rest alongside his two daughters.
