Ralph Rodgers, 85, of Springdale passed away May 11, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 27, 1933 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Vernon and Mable Miller-Rodgers. He worked as a Millwright in Detroit, Michigan and he proudly belonged to the local union 1102. He retired in 1975 and moved his family back to Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing and gardening but he especially enjoyed hanging out with his buddies at Cherokee Casino betting on the ponies. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Estella Rodgers to whom he was married to for 55 years, his son, Mike Rodgers, his grandson, Jason Rodgers, his granddaughter, Elizabeth Rodgers and his brother, Howard Rodgers. He will be lovingly remembered by three children, Barbara O'Connor and husband Tim of Michigan, Bruce Rodgers of Michigan and Danny Rodgers and wife Lisa of Springdale. Two sisters; Lila Phillips and Linda Ferguson. Twelve grandchildren, Tina Irwin of Michigan, Nicole Cummins of Michigan, Chad O'Connor and wife Melissa of Michigan, Candy Roberts and husband Clint of Missouri, Nicole Morrow and husband Larry of Lincoln, Stormie Doshier and Fiancée, Ian of Fayetteville, Cassie Gerock and husband, Cody of North Carolina, Robert Rodgers of Michigan, Charlotte Rodgers of Michigan, Stacey Hampton of Michigan, Alyssa Claros and husband, Edmon of Nebraska and Macie Rodgers whom he lovingly referred to as "Squirt." of Springdale. Nine great granddaughters and 12 great-grandsons. Graveside services will be Wednesday May 16 at 2 p.m. at Weddington Cemetery in Fayetteville with Pastor Donald Miller officiating. A celebration of life will follow at his home. No visitation is planned. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
