Erick Edmisten, 58, of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, May 13th, in a local hospital following a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis and colon cancer.
He was born to Bill and Maxine Edmisten in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, where he attended school at Fort Buchanan. Later, Erick attended Arkansas State University, completing a degree in Personnel Management. During this time, he married Becky Fleming. He was blessed by, and very proud of his two beautiful daughters, Erica Lauren Jackson (Brett) of Greenbrier, and Emily Rose Partridge (Nick), of Maumelle, along with his precious and only grandchild Brycen Jackson.
Erick was a member of the Church of Christ. As his health allowed, he spent the past seven years in volunteer service, working with adults and young people in Garland County, after retiring from 27 years of work with the Department of the Treasury.
He was preceded in death by parents Bill and Maxine Edmisten, his grandparents, Capitola Glazner and Charles and Ruth Edmisten, and his aunt Betty Tweedy.
Erick is survived by daughters Erica Jackson (Brett), Emily Partridge (Nick), grandson, Brycen Jackson, and former wife of 30 years, Becky Edmisten. Erick is also survived by his aunt Patricia Canada, his uncle Warren Edmisten, and cousins Bill, Bonnie, and Adam Stovall, as well as other family and numerous friends.
