Howard "Buck" Dale Ridenour

Howard "Buck" Dale Ridenour, 93, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Howard "Buck" Dale Ridenour spent his younger years involved heavily in western music. At the age of 16, Buck, his brother Len, and two of his sisters, Margie and Dimp Ridenour played western music every morning for Station KFXD in Caldwell, Idaho. They were known throughout that area as "The Ozark Kids". Later he had his own Western Swing Band in which he played the fiddle and his wife, Naomi, played the stand-up base. He played with known western bands and musicians, such as, Leon McAuliffe and Rhonda Vincent. In later years, he worked for Campbell Soup in Fayetteville, Ark., for over 40 years until his retirement. Buck was a member of Baptist Ford Church in Greenland, Ark., where he used his music talents to serve His Lord. In the last five years of his life, he lived in Broken Arrow, Okla., with his son and daughter-in-law, where he attended County Line Baptist Church and played his fiddle as well. He and his departed wife, Naomi were married 65 years. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Buck is survived by his Son, Charles Ridenour and wife Sharon of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 1 Sister, Doris "Dimp" Alderson of Baker City, Ore.; 1 Grandchild, Michelle Kaufmann and husband, Steve of Guyton, Ga. ; 1 Great-Grandchild, Josie Kaufmann of Guyton, Ga. The Funeral Service for Howard will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Baptist Ford Church at 10:00AM. Pastor Ervin Hutchins will officiate the service. Burial will be held at the Weddington Baptist Cemetery after.
